罗布羊和叶城羊体重与体尺性状的综合分析
Comprehensive Analysis of Body Weight and Body Measurements in Luobu Sheep and Yecheng Sheep

Abstract
This study aims to investigate the correlation between body weight and body measurement traits in Xinjiang local sheep breeds Luobu sheep and Yecheng sheep in the hope of providing references for accelerating their breeding programs.A total of 569 healthy adult ewes(296 Luobu sheep and 273 Yech-eng sheep)were selected,and seven traits were measured:body weight(Y),height at withers(X1),body length(X2),chest circumference(X3),chest depth(X4),chest width(X5)and cannon bone circumfer-ence(X6).Correlation analysis,principal component analysis,and regression analysis were performed to e-valuate the relationship between body weight and body measurements.The results showed that the coeffi-cient of variation for body weight was the largest in both Luobu and Yecheng sheep,indicating substantial potential for selection.Correlation analysis revealed that body weight was significantly positively correla-ted with all six body measurement traits in both breeds(P<0.01),with chest depth showing the stron-gest correlation with body weight.Principal component analysis extracted five components for each breed,with chest depth,chest circumference,height at withers,cannon bone circumference,and body length con-tributing significantly to these components.Furthermore,predictive models for body weight were estab-lished.The optimal regression equation for Luobu sheep was:Y=0.306X1+1.359X4+0.624X5+4.927X6-71.269,and for Yecheng sheep:Y=0.303X2+0.201X3+0.657X4-19.337.In conclusion,during the breeding process of Luobu and Yecheng sheep,emphasis should be placed on height at withers,chest depth,chest width,and cannon bone circumference for Luobu sheep,and on body length,chest circ-umference,and chest depth for Yecheng sheep,thereby improving breeding efficiency.关键词
