Abstract
Objective To investigate the effects of isolated diastolic hypertension(IDH)on the structure of the carotid ar-tery and endothelial function in young patients.Methods Physical examination data in 2021 were collected from Beijing Municipal Corps Hospital of Chinese People's Armed Police Force.The carotid intima-media thickness(CIMT)and endothelin-1(ET-1)of IDH patients and healthy controls were compared,and the association between the them and the changes in diastolic blood pressure was explored.Results The CIMT of IDH patients was higher than that of healthy controls[(0.84±0.11)vs.(0.75±0.10),P=0.030],and the ET-1 level also showed an increase[(116.63.15±20.84)vs.(103.21±23.88),P=0.042].At the same time,there was a positive correlation between CIMT and ET-1(R2=0.61,P<0.001).Conclusions The increase in diastolic blood pres-sure has a negative impact on the structure and function of carotid artery to a certain extent.It is necessary to strengthen the popular-ization of health knowledge about IDH and early intervention.关键词
