Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of approximal veneers by computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing(CAD/CAM)technology in the restoration of anterior diastema.Methods A total of 57 teeth with anterior diastema were selected from 32 patients as study subjects from Beijing Hospital of integrated Traditional Chinese and western Medicine.Approximal veneers were fabricated using a CAD/CAM system,and the modified United States Public Health Service prosthesis evaluation criteria was used for the reexamination and assessment 12 months after the restoration was completed.Results Despite 5 cases with slightly mismatched colors,as well as one case of breakage and one case of detachment,the overall A-level success rate still remained above 90%.Conclu-sions The restoration of anterior diastema with approximal veneers can achieve good clinical results in a short term,but the long-term repair effect still needs further observation.关键词
