Distribution Characteristics and Metallogenic Regularity of Barite Deposits in Western Henan

Abstract
Barite deposits in western Henan are distributed on the edge of the Sanmenxia-Tianhu-Lushan nappe fault zone or the inner edge of the Xionger Group rifted basin.They can be divided into four ore concentration areas:Lingbao Sucun-Lushi Guandaokou,Shan County Zhangmao-Xili Village,Mianchi Nancun-Duancun,Song County Tianhu-Yiyang Zhaobao.The barite deposit in the area has the characteristics of a typical low-temperature hydrothermal and fault zone filling type deposit.Its origins are as follows:Ba element was initially enriched in the Xionger Group strata during the Jinning Period;the Sanmenxia-Tianhu-Lushan nappe fault during the Indo-Chinese Period formed nearly north-south and north-west trending compression-torsional fault zones;large-scale magma underplating and extension and extension during the Yanshan Period,and ore-forming materials were activated,migrated and enriched along the fault zone to form ore.Wall rock alterations such as the stratigraphic margin of the Xionger Group,near-north-south and northwest-trending steep dip faults,and silicification can be used as prospecting indicators for barite deposits in the area.This study can provide basic data and theoretical basis for the deployment of barite ore prospecting and exploration work in Henan province.关键词
