Abstract

Objective To analyze the long non-coding RNA metastasis associated lung adenocarcinoma transcript 1(LncRNA MALAT1)expression in lung adenocarcinoma tissue and its relationship with postoperative recurrence.Methods One hundred and thirty nine lung adenocarcinoma patients admitted to the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University for radical surgical treatment from February 2019 to July 2020 were selected,and the surgical resection of lung adenocarcinoma tissue and adjacent normal tissue were collected.The expression of LncRNA MALAT1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue and adjacent normal tissue was detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,and the expression of LncRNA MALAT1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissues of patients with different clinicopathological features were compared.Postoperative follow-up for 3 years,the patients were divided into recurrent group and non recurrent group based on the recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma,and the clinical data of these two groups of patients were compared.The influencing factors of recurrence after resection of lung adenocarcinoma were analyzed by Cox regression analysis method,and the predictive value of LncRNA MALAT1 expression for postoperative recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma after resection was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic curve.Results Eleven out of 139 lung adenocarcinoma patients were excluded,and ultimately 128 patient data were included in the result analysis.The relative expression level of LncRNA MALAT1 in lung adenocarcinoma tissue was higher than that in adjacent normal tissue(P<0.05).The relative expression level of LncRNA MALAT1 in cancer tissue of TNM stage Ⅲ,tumor maximum diameter>3 cm and poorly differentiated lung adenocarcinoma patients was higher than that of TNM stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ,tumor maximum diameter≤3 cm and moderately/highly differentiated lung adenocarcinoma patients(P<0.05).TNM stage Ⅲ,tumor maximum diameter>3 cm,poorly differentiated,wild type of epidermal growth factor receptor gene,preoperative carcinoembryonic antigen level≥5 ng/mL and high expression of LncRNA MALAT1 were risk factors for postoperative recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma(P<0.05).The sensitivity,specificity and area under curve of LncRNA MALAT1 expression in predicting postoperative recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma were 76.19%,94.19%and 0.846,respectively.Conclusions LncRNA MALAT1 is highly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma tissue,which is related to TNM stage,maximum tumor diameter and degree of tumor differentiation and other clinicopathological features,and it is the influencing factor for postoperative recurrence in patients with lung adenocarcinoma after resection,and it has good predictive value for postoperative recurrence of lung adenocarcinoma after resection.
