Patient satisfaction rates with elderly-oriented and information technology services in public healthcare institutions in Shanghai

Abstract
Objective To evaluate patient satisfaction rates with elderly-oriented and information technology services in public healthcare institutions in Shanghai in 2023,and to provide information for further improving patient experiences in these institutions of China.Methods Questionnaire surveys were conducted by cluster random sampling among outpatients and inpatients in 108 public healthcare institutions.Patient satisfaction rates with elderly-oriented and information technology services,and their impact on overall patient satisfactions were processed using χ2 tests,t tests and multilevel logistic regression models.In addition,patient suggestions on these services were analyzed.Result The overall satisfaction scores for outpatient and inpatient services in Shanghai's public healthcare institutions were 4.84 and 4.95,respectively;patient satisfaction rates with elderly-oriented and information technology services fall in 87.26%to 95.69%and were positively associated with overall patient satisfactions all(P<0.05).Conclusions Patient satisfaction rates with elderly-oriented and information technology services were relatively high in Shanghai's public healthcare institutions in 2023.However,further efforts are needed to upgrade elderly-oriented services and the healthcare digital-transformation for superiior patient satisfaction.关键词
