Research on Miniaturization Design of High-Power X/Ku-band Traveling Wave Tubes
摘要
Abstract
The large horizontal dimensions of traveling wave tubes(TWTs)have long been significant fac-tors limiting their application in active phased array radar.This article elaborates on two key design of high-power X/Ku-band TWTs:the voltage resistance capability design of electron gun and collector,and the miniaturization design of periodic permanent magnet(PPM)focusing system.The focusing challenge of electron beams caused by the miniaturized PPM system is addressed through composite tube shell technology.The height of the improved TWT is reduced to within 20mm,and the microwave power module integration based on this TWT is achieved.关键词
