摘要

Abstract

The electron beam transmission efficiency directly affects parameters of space traveling wave tubes(TWTs),such as the efficiency,reliability,lifespan,noise,etc.In order to improve the electron beam transmission efficiency,based on theoretical design of the periodic permanent magnet focusing system for TWTs,simulation optimizations of magnetic field in transition region between electron gun and interaction region,inter-action region,refocusing region between collector and interaction region are carried out by using MTSS code.As a result,the static transmission efficiency of the C-band space TWT increases from 99.8%to 99.96%,the dy-namic transmission efficiency increases from 96.8%to 98.6%,and the total tube efficiency exceeded 65%.The variations of helix currents with input signal under high temperature(85℃),normal temperature,and low tem-perature(-25℃)conditions are all greatly reduced,which improves the reliability of the C-band space TWTs.
