土壤水分条件对刺槐实生苗叶片功能性状及生长潜力的影响
Effects of soil moisture conditions on the leaf functional traits and the growth potential of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings

Abstract
[Objective]This study aimed to investigate the impact of soil moisture conditions on the growth potential of Robinia pseudoacacia seedlings and understand the key factors affecting the formation of R.pseudo-acacia productivity.[Method]A pot-based water control experiment was conducted with five treatments:mass-water-content of 80%-100%(T1),60%-75%(T2),45%-59%(T3),30%-44%(T4),and natural drought to 20%-25%over 40 days followed by rehydration to T1 levels(T5).Parameters including biomass(leaflets,peti-oles,and whole plant),water content,specific leaf area(SLA),photosynthetic traits,chlorophyll,non-structural carbohydrates(NSC),carbon-nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium(C-N-P-K)content,δ13C,and intrinsic water use efficiency(WUEi)were measured in current-year seedlings.Leaf trait responses across treatments were compared,and a comprehensive evaluation model based on principal component analysis(weighted by eigenvectors)was constructed to assess growth potential of black locust seedlings.[Result](1)Water deficit increased the peti-ole-to-leaf biomass ratio from 19%(T1)to 28%(T4)and 27%(T5)in black locust seedlings.SLA and leaf num-ber initially decreased and then increased with declining soil moisture,peaking in T1.(2)Water deficit stress in-duced an increase in soluble sugar content in leaflets and starch content in petioles of black locust seedlings,as well as an elevation in the proportion of NSC allocation in the leaves.Severe water deficit stress could enhance the contents of carbon(C),nitrogen(N),phosphorus(P),potassium(K),and the N∶P ratio in the leaflets of black locust seedlings.(3)Long-term soil water deficit reduced the WUEi of T3 and T4,while T1 exhibited the lowest WUEi values on days 40,60,and 80 of the treatment.(4)The growth potential of black locust to soil moisture changes ranked as T1>T2>T3>T5>T4,consistent with whole-plant biomass.[Conclusion]The changes in leaf functional traits represent one of the key strategies for black locust seedlings to adapt to varying soil water conditions,and these changes influence the growth potential of the seedlings.关键词
