地方政府环境注意力对企业绿色创新的作用机制
Study on the Mechanism of the Environmental Attention of Local Governments on Corporate Green Innovation
摘要
Abstract
The existing literature shows that local government positively influences corporate green innovation through environmental regu-lation,but there is insufficient research on how local government environmental attention influences corporate green innovation.This paper ex-plores the influence of local governments' environmental attention on enterprises' substantive green innovation and strategic green innovation with a sample of listed companies in China from 2003 to 2020.Mechanism analysis shows that local government environmental attention im-proves the level of substantial green innovation and strategic green innovation of enterprises by increasing government subsidies and corporate environmental pollution costs.Heterogeneity analysis shows that local governments' environmental attention has a different impact on green in-novation depending on the local government environmental governance pressure,environmental governance"hard law"implementation intensi-ty,nature of enterprises and industry characteristics.This paper enriches the research on the influence of local government environmental gover-nance on green innovation of enterprises,and provides a constructive perspective for improving local government environmental governance measures to improve enterprise green innovation.关键词
