Voice and Architecture:Research on the Acoustic Characteristics of the Stage Buildings along the Western Route of the Xiaohe Ancient Road

Abstract
As an important carrier of ancient Chinese culture,the performance space of traditional Chinese opera contains unique acoustic heritage value.This study takes two types of opera stages in the western section of the Xiaohe ancient road-the market square stage and the temple stage(four cases)as the research objects.In response to the problem of the lack of recognition of acoustic heritage value,it combines field research and historical form analysis to reveal the correlation between acoustic characteristics and architectural evolution.The research shows that the evolution of performance demands drives the development of acoustic effects.The temple stage enhances reverberation through the enclosed courtyard to create a sacred atmosphere,while the market square stage uses a convergent sound field to meet the secular performance demands.The architectural components and acoustic regulation are deeply coupled.The"eight-character sound wall"strengthens the sound energy guidance,the caisson ceiling improves the uniformity of the sound field,and the resonant amplification is achieved by setting a hole under the stage.The acoustic strategies closely respond to the characteristics of the site.The market street stage uses direct sound to achieve crowd gathering,while the village entrance stage optimizes the sound field coverage by relying on natural barriers.The study incorporates the performance space and acoustic heritage of the opera stage into the overall protection framework of the opera stage building,and constructs a"function-space-acoustic effect"collaborative assessment system,providing theoretical support for the value interpretation and revitalization utilization of traditional performance spaces.关键词
