Abstract

BeiDou navigation satellite system(BDS)has the ability of flex power.Flex power will impact multiple aspects of satellite navigation.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive analysis on BDS flex power.In this paper,we detect the flex power events of BDS from 2020 to 2023 and analyze the effects of flex power on carri-er-to-noise density ratio and differential code bias(DCB).The results show that BDS flex power turned on 9 times in 2020 to 2023.During this period,the carrier-to-noise density ratios of geostationary Earth orbit(GEO),medi-um Earth orbit(MEO)and inclined geosynchronous orbit(IGSO)satellites change by 4~8 dB-Hz,5~9 dB-Hz and 4~9 dB-Hz respectively.During the flex power event,the C2I-C6I DCB products of the satellites with this function changed significantly,and the average effects on the DCB products of GEO,MEO and IGSO satellites are 5.41 ns,12.04 ns and 9.48 ns,respectively.The segmented estimates of DCBs before and after the turn-on flex power event in a day,the average effect between the two groups of DCBs reaches 4.66 ns,15.76 ns and 12.43 ns for the three types of satellites respectively.
