Simulation Analysis and Experiment of Conductivity Water Cut Meter with Equipotential Electrode

Abstract
The impedance water cut meter is a longitudinal array conductivity sensor,and the structure and parameters of the sensor have an important impact on the performance.Because the walls at both ends of the impedance water cut meter are metal structures,there is a phenomenon that the excitation electrode current is shunted along the radial direction.When measuring the total water value,the uncertainty of the oil-water interface position leads to differences in the magnitude of the excitation current when measuring the total water value and the mixed phase value.An optimized design model of a five-electrode conductivity water cut meter with equipotential electrodes is proposed.Based on the theoretical model of electric field distribution and current density distribution,the electric field distribution and current density of the sensor under different parameters are simulated and analyzed by using finite element simulation software,and the effects of parameters such as the length of the insulation domain,the width of the electrode ring,and the position of the equipotential electrode on the performance of the sensor are studied.According to the simulation results,the optimal parameters of the sensor are determined,and the static principle experiment of the sensor is carried out.The simulation results show that the shunt of the excitation current can be effectively eliminated by adding the equipotential electrode,and the excitation current is consistent with the total water value when the miscible value is measured.The results of static principle experiments show that the measurement accuracy of the five-electrode conductivity water cut meter is effectively improved under the condition of high water content.The existence of equipotential electrode can effectively improve the measurement accuracy of the sensor,which provides an effective method for the optimal design of the sensor.关键词
