Abstract

In the field of civil engineering,accurately monitoring the displacement of steel structure is of vital importance for ensuring the safety and stability of structure.During long term outdoor operations,traditional im-age measurement methods are prone to being affected by factors such as changes in geological conditions and disturbances from nearby construction.This may cause movement of the measurement platform itself,thus bringing relatively large measurement errors.To address this issue,a linear measurement method for steel struc-ture displacement based on dual-camera calibration is proposed.An image measurement model is constructed with two cameras at a certain fixed connection angle for effectively overcoming the defect of low-accuracy esti-mation of single camera displacement and rotation angle along the optical axis,and realizing high-precision measurement under the 6 degree-of-freedom(DOF)micro-vibrations of the measurement platform.By further compensating for the image changes of the target points caused by the platform movement,the in-plane actual movement of the target points can be accurately restored.Simulation experiments demonstrate that the proposed method is significantly superior to the traditional Perspective-n-Point(PnP)method in terms of solution accura-cy,stability,and solution efficiency.The results of actual engineering verification show that the proposed meth-od has effectively overcome the drawbacks of traditional single camera image measurement methods,with the measurement error controlled within 1 mm,which provides a reliable and efficient technical solution for steel structure displacement monitoring and has broad application prospects in the monitoring of steel structure pro-jects such as bridges and high rise buildings.
