放牧强度对高寒嵩草草甸不同植物群落土壤种子库特征的影响
Soil seed bank characteristics of typical plant communities in alpine Kobresia meadows under grazing intensities
摘要
Abstract
[Objective]To explore the mechanisms underlying stability maintenance and self-renewal of plant communities in alpine Kobresia meadows,a series of field experiments were conducted to investigate the response characteristics of the soil seed bank to varying grazing intensities in typical alpine Kobresia meadow communities in southeastern Qilian Mountains.[Method]Two typical plant communities of the alpine K.meadow were selected:Gramineae-K.humilis plant community and K.pygmaea plant community.The seed germination method was used to examine the characteristics of soil seed bank under different grazing intensities in both plant communities.[Result]1)26 plant species were identified in the soil seed bank across the study area.In the Gramineae-K.humilis plant commu-nity,the soil seed bank density ranged from 226.62 seeds/m2 to 252.00 seeds/m2,which was higher than that ob-served in the K.pygmaea plant community(198.47 seeds/m2 seeds to 210.77 seeds/m2);2)Both reduced grazing and grazing prohibition treatments increased the richness of Gramineae species in the soil seed bank.Grazing prohibi-tion treatment significantly promoted Gramineae as a dominant plant functional group in the soil seed bank;3)The species diversity index of the soil seed bank in the Gramineae K.humilis plant community was higher than that in the K.pygmaea plant community;4)The species similarity between the soil seed bank and aboveground vegetation was relatively low in both communities.However,the species similarity coefficient between soil seed bank and their plant communities in the Gramineae-K.humilis plant community(0.2~0.4)was higher than that in the K.pygmaea plant community(0.1~0.3).[Conclusion]Implementing grazing prohibition for a sufficient duration can enhance both the seed quantity and species diversity of the soil seed bank,thereby supporting the self-renewal and ecological stability of alpine Kobresia meadow plant communities.关键词
