摘要

Abstract

[Objective]COMT gene family members play important regulatory roles in plant lignin synthesis,growth,development and abiotic stress.The study was carried out to analyze the structure,expression,protein physi-cochemical properties,and function of the AvCOMT gene in lignin biosynthesis of Apocynum venetum.[Method]The chromosome location,protein structure,and physicochemical properties,homeostatic elements,and phylogenetic tree were predicted and analyzed by bioinformatics methods.[Result]The results showed that there were 10 mem-bers of the COMT gene family in A.venetum,distributed on 3 chromosomes,including 1-4 exons and 3-10 con-served domains.Its secondary structure was mainly composed of α—helix and random coil.The tertiary structures of AvCOMT01,AvCOMT02,AvCOMT03,AvCOMT05,and AvCOMT08 proteins were similar to that of Arabidop-sis thaliana AtCOMT protein.Among the 10 COMT proteins,AvCOMT07 and AvCOMT10 were unstable pro-teins,and the remaining members were stable proteins.AvCOMT01,AvCOMT03,and AvCOMT04 were hydro-phobic proteins,and the rest were hydrophilic proteins.The expression of AvCOMT gene in A.venetum was regu-lated by environmental factors such as light and temperature,as well as plant hormones such as auxin,gibberellin,and abscisic acid.[Conclusion]A total of 10 AvCOMT genes have been screened from A.venetum.They are similar to the structure and function of A.thaliana AtCOMT and play a key role in plant lignin synthesis and stress resistance.
