The clinical value of multi-parameter monitoring wearable devices in enhanced recovery af-ter surgery strategies for colorectal cancer

Abstract
Enhanced recovery after surgery has been widely adopted in colorectal cancer surgery,yet single physiological indicators are insufficient to comprehensively reflect individual patient variability and potential complication risks.Multi-parameter monitoring wearable devices,capable of recording multidimensional data(e.g.,heart rate variability,oxygen saturation,physical activity,sleep quality,and continuous blood glucose),offer novel technical support for personalized perioperative management through the integration of physiological and behavioral metrics.This review first outlines the current applications of wearable devices in enhanced recovery after surgery for colorectal cancer and explores the" early warning"mechanisms driven by bidirectional physiological-behavioral coupling.Key roles and bottleneck problem of multi-parameter monitoring in preoperative assessment,perioperative intervention,and postoperative rehabilitation follow-up are analyzed,alongside challenges such as technical standardization,data security,and integration into clinical pathways.Fi-nally,future research and clinical implementation directions are proposed.We advocate for establishing systematic,intelli-gent,and sustainable digital monitoring and management systems through multidisciplinary collaboration and large-scale prospective studies,in order to bring greater benefits to enhanced recovery and long-term quality of life in colorectal cancer patients.关键词
