Abstract
This study investigates the welding process of 2507 super duplex stainless steel,a critical material for flat screen filter equipment in the cold source water intake interception and cleaning circulation system of a CAP1000 third-generation passive pressurized water reactor nuclear power unit(1,000 MW class)in China.The performance of welded joints was com-prehensively evaluated through tensile testing,bend testing,intergranular corrosion analysis,and metallographic characteriza-tion.Experimental results demonstrate that the flux-cored arc welding with gas shielding(FCAW-G)process,employing op-timized heat inputs of 9.00 kJ/cm for the front-side root pass,9.60-11.52 kJ/cm for front-side fill passes,11.65-12.48 kJ/cm for the front-side capping pass,and 10.56 kJ/cm for the reverse-side backing pass,yields welded joints with exceptional me-chanical properties and favorable metallurgical integrity.These joints meet the stringent requirements for nuclear equipment operating in marine corrosive environments.Transverse rhombic specimens exhibited a tensile strength of 845 MPa,with fractures localized in the base material.180° transverse side-bend tests showed no surface cracking.Homogeneous dual-phase microstructure with a balanced ferrite-to-austenite phase ratio.Absence of microcracks,detrimental phase precipita-tion,or susceptibility to intergranular corrosion.The findings validate the applicability of 2507 super duplex stainless steel in critical nuclear power systems under harsh marine conditions,ensuring compliance with nuclear-grade structural material standards.关键词
