摘要

Abstract

Understanding the complex and diverselate Neoarchean mantle-derived magmatism in western Shandong of the eastern North China craton(NCC)is crucial for deciphering the dynamic mechanism of early crustal formation and evolution.In this study,field investigation,petrology,whole-rock geochemistry,and zircon U-Pb isotopic results are reported for late Neoarchean(2.55~2.53 Ga)metabasalt-andesites from western Shandong.These rocks are characterized by high MgO(>8%)and low TiO2(<0.61%),with enrichments in light rare earth elements(LREE)and large ion lithosphere elements(LILE).They exhibit(La/Yb)N ratios ranging from 5.36 to 11.35 and(Gd/Yb)N ratios from 2.02 to 3.96,alongside high Cr(274×10-6~753×10-6)and Ni(133×10-6~364×10-6)concentrations,classifying them as high-Mg basalt-andesite.Petrogenesis studies reveal derivation from a depleted mantle source metasomatized by subduction processes.The presence of these high-Mg basalt-andesites,together with contemporaneous sanukitoids and calc-alkaline basalts in western Shandong,collectively points to significant subduction during the late Neoarchean.This implies that modern-style plate tectonics,including slab rollback,may have been operating during the late Archean.
