Freeze-thaw Deformation Characteristics Monitoring of the Gen-La Highway Based on Multi-temporal Sentinel-1 Images

Abstract
The Genhe-Labulin Highway(Gen-La Highway)passes through the high-latitude permafrost region in Northeast China and is significantly affected by freeze-thaw cycles.Therefore,its stability monitoring is crucial for ensuring safe operation and routine maintenance.We used multi-temporal InSAR technology to analyze Sentinel-1 data from 2016 to 2020 covering the Gen-La Highway,and extracted the linear displacement speed and seasonal displacement amplitude of the Gen-La Highway and its surrounding areas at first.Then,we conducted a hotspot analysis of regional linear and seasonal deformation,and used wavelet transform to quantitatively investigate the correlation between surface deformation and temperature.The results show that the maximum linear displacement speed in the study area reaches 69.97 mm/a,while the maximum seasonal displacement amplitude is 26.34 mm.The overall roadbed of the Gen-La Highway remains stable,but some sections experience uneven deformation and significant freeze-thaw damage.The common period of surface deformation and temperature is approximately 374 days,with surface deformation lagging behind temperature by about 38 days.关键词
