Abstract

With the continuous increase in the scale of renewable energy generation connected to the power grid via synchronization mode with phase-locked loops,the transient characteristics of new power systems have been profoundly changed.In order to solve the transient stability problems of multiple grid-following(GFL)power sources feeded in any AC power grids,firstly,the large-disturbance mathematical model for multi-infeed GFL system is derived based on the grid structure of systems;secondly,the transient synchronization stability mechanism of the multi-infeed GFL system is defined in combination with the transient response characteristics of GFL power sources and control interaction between power sources.Then,a fast solution method for the stability equilibrium point of multi-infeed GFL system is proposed,and the corresponding stability margin evaluation index is given.On this basis,the main factors and rules influencing the transient synchronization stability of systems are analyzed comprehensively.Finally,case verification is conducted based on the modified IEEE 39-bus system.The simulation results show that the proposed evaluation index can accurately reflect the transient synchronization stability of the multi-infeed GFL system,and the correctness of the influencing rule analyis of the transient synchronization stability is verified.
