Review of Grid-forming Control and Key Technologies for Voltage-source Distributed Energy Resources Black-start

Abstract
With the increasing proportion of renewable energy sources,the uncertainty and complexity of the power grid have also increased.Black-start technology ensures rapid restoration of power supply after system failures or catastrophic events,reducing downtime,enhancing grid resilience,and improving grid stability.When renewable energy units provide black-start services,grid-forming(GFM)control is required instead of the traditionally grid-connected current control.This paper outlines the current research status of inverter control strategies and key technologies in the black-start process of voltage-source renewable energy stations.The GFM control strategies are reviewed when distributed devices are used as black-start power sources.The paper analyzes inrush current suppression methods during the black-start process from software and hardware perspectives and briefly introduces factors to consider when setting specific parameters.Based on synchronization interconnection standards,existing pre-synchronization control methods are summarized in phase,frequency,and voltage amplitude.Considering multi-source parallel scenarios,the category and impact of the synchronization sequence and the reference selection are investigated based on the pre-synchronization of individual equipment.On this basis,the key technologies involved in black start control of distributed power sources are summarized,and the prospects are provided.关键词
