The Links and Their Genesis Between Different-Scale Geochemical Data:A Case Study of the Huijiabao Gold Field,Southwest of Guizhou Province

Abstract
To deeply explore the metallogenic information carried by multi-scale geochemical data,it is essential to systematically analyze their similarities,differences,and genetic relationships,and to establish intrinsic links between different datasets,thereby providing a scientific basis for mineral resource exploration and prediction.Taking the Huijiabao gold field in the"Golden Triangle"area of the Yunnan-Guizhou-Guangxi region as a case study,this paper employs isometric log-ratio transformation(ILR)and principal component analysis(PCA)to conduct multiscale statistical analysis on As,Au,Hg,and Sb elements from 1∶200000 scale stream sediment geochemical data and As,Au,Hg,Sb,and Tl elements from 1∶10000 scale structural geochemical data.Statistical calculations and analysis reveal that the Au-Hg association in stream sediment data contains both direct metallogenic information related to gold mineralization and interference signals caused by other hydrothermal activities(e.g.,mercury-bearing fluids).By comparison,the As-Sb association covaries consistently in both two scales of geochemical data,making this element association be an effective indicator for large-scale geochemical analysis and gold-antimony deposit exploration.Furthermore,the close spatial association between Au and Tl in 1∶10000 structural geochemical data suggests that the spatial distribution characteristics of Tl and its relationship with fault structures can aid in prospecting of buried gold deposits.关键词
