Key controlling factors and metallogenic model of the"Datangpo Type"Mn deposits in the Changyang ore deposit cluster area,Hubei Province

Abstract
The Changyang ore deposit cluster area is an important resource area of high-quality Mn ore in the Western Hunan-Western Hubei metallogenic belt.The Mn deposits here belong to the"Datangpo type"Mn deposits in Nanhua System.In recent years,integrated exploration of Mn ore in this area has a-chieved breakthroughs.However,research on the ore-controlling factors and metallogenic model has not deepened so as to restricting the further Mn ore prospecting and related research works both in depth and in the surroundings.Based on the latest progress of integrated exploration and previous data,the main controlling factors and metallogenic model are discussed by analyzing and summarizing the geological characteristics and stable isotope characteristics of the deposit.It is concluded that:Mn is derived from submarine volcanic activity and terrigenous materials;the lithology of the strata is a necessary ore-form-ing condition;a relatively stable sedimentary environment in a limited shallow sea shelf basin is a prereq-uisite for Mn ore preservation and enrichment;deep faults control the spatial distribution and morphology of manganese ore.The metallogenic model is preliminarily established and the order of metallogenic fac-tors is clarified.Further Mn ore prospecting would be directed to the concealed area of depression basin in the west of Paomaping basin.关键词
