Effects of primary suture after laparoscopic common bile duct exploration on patients with different common bile duct diameters

Abstract
Objective:To explore the therapeutic effect of laparoscopic common bile duct exploration and primary suture on choledocholithiasis in patients with different common bile duct diameters.Methods:A total of 130 choledocholithiasis patients admitted from Jan.2020 to Dec.2022 were selected and divided into dilated group(n=65)and normal group(n=65)according to the diameter of the common bile duct.Both groups underwent primary suture after laparoscopic common bile duct exploration.The intraoperative and postoperative outcomes,number of cleared common bile duct stones,liver function indicators,postoperative complications,and follow-up results were compared.Results:There were no significant differences in intraoperative blood loss,operation time,gastrointestinal func-tion recovery time,postoperative drainage tube duration,hospital stay,or number of cleared stones in the common bile duct between the two groups(P＞0.05).Postoperative liver function indicators were significantly lower than preoperative levels in both groups(P＜0.05),and no significant difference was observed between the dilated group and the normal group(P＞0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of postoperative complications such as bleeding and infection between the two groups(P＞0.05).During follow-up,neither calucli recurrence rate nor bile duct stenosis rate differed significantly(P＞0.05).Conclusions:Laparoscopic com-mon bile duct exploration with primary suture achieves similar outcomes in patients with different common bile duct diameters,demon-strating comparable safety and feasibility.关键词
