间伐强度对桂西北秃杉人工林持水性能的影响
Effects of thinning intensity on the water-holding capacity of Taiwania flousiana plantations in Northwest Guangxi

Abstract
[Purpose]The paper investigated the water-holding capacity of a Taiwania flousiana plantation under different thinning intensities,aiming to provide a basis for reasonably assembling the stand structure and enhancing the water conservation capacity of such plantations.[Method]A 10-year-old T.flousiana plantation in Shankou Forest Farm(Nandan,Guangxi)was subjected to thinning at five intensities:0(CK),23%,37%,50%,and 60%.The water-holding capacities of understory vegetation,litter,and soil layers were compared among the treatments with different thinning intensities 12 years post-thinning.[Result]As for the understory vegetation layer,the maximum and effective water-holding capacities varied within the ranges of 0.42-2.84 t·hm-2 and 0.21-1.38 t·hm-2,respectively,showing positive correlations with thinning intensity.In the litter layer,the maximum and effec-tive water-holding capacities were within the ranges of 15.14-20.91 t·hm-2 and 12.28-16.72 t·hm-2,respectively,decreasing with the increase in thinning intensity.In the soil(0-40 cm)layer,the maximum and effective water-holding capacities varied with-in the ranges of 2 061.67-2 208.02 t·hm-2 and 236.80-306.95 t·hm-2,respectively,following the sequence of 37%thinning in-tensity>50%thinning intensity>23%thinning intensity>60%thinning intensity>CK.Compared with CK,the treatments with thinning intensities at 23%,37%,50%,and 60%showed the maximum water-holding capacity increases of 4.10%,7.01%,4.77%,and 1.30%and the effective water-holding capacity increases of 14.83%,27.51%,16.41%,and 9.75%,respectively.[Conclusion]Thinning reduced the water-holding capacity of the litter layer,while enhancing the water-holding capacities of the soil and understory vegetation layers of the T.flousiana plantation.On the whole,thinning could effectively improve the water-holding capacity of the T.flousiana plantation,and thinning at the intensity of 37%had the highest water-holding capacity,followed by that at 50%.关键词
