Abstract

Objective To explore the effectiveness of integrating the small private online course(SPOC)teaching mode combined with the ideological and political education in faculty development and course instruction for Infectious Disease Nursing.Methods 192 nursing undergraduates from Grade 2020 were assigned to the control group,receiving traditional teaching methods,while 192 nursing students from Grade 2021 formed the research group,where SPOC combined with ideological and political education was incorporated into the traditional teaching model,theoretical knowledge scores scenario-based simulation quiz scores,and feedbackon the teaching mode,and overall satisfaction.Results After the intervention,the theoretical knowledge and scene simulation quiz achievement scores of the research group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).While the research group was better than the control group in terms of students'participation in activities and learning efficiency(P<0.05),and the total satisfaction with course learning of the research group was 95.31%,which was higher than 87.50%in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions The teaching mode of SPOC combined with ideological and political education not only improves students'learning outcomes,but also cultivates students'professional ethics and social responsibility,and its application in the theoretical teaching of Infectious Disease Nursing is successful.
