外源硅对厚皮甜瓜幼苗生长发育及相关酶活性的影响
Effects of Exogenous Silicon on Growth and Development of Thick-skinned Muskmelon Seedlings and Related Enzyme Activities

Abstract
[Objective]The effects of foliar application of exogenous silicon fertilizer on the growth and development of thick-skinned muskmelon seedlings and related enzyme activities were investigated to provide theoretical basis for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement in muskmelon cultivation.[Method]Sodium silicate(Na2SiO3)with five concentrations of 0 mmol/L(CK),10 mmol/L(S10),20 mmol/L(S20),30 mmol/L(S30),and 40 mmol/L(S40)were sprayed on the leaves of thick-skinned muskmelon cultivar Ruihong in greenhouse.The effects of different Na2SiO3 concentrations on seedling morphological indexes and photosynthetic characteristics of muskmelon were compared.Additionally,at 7 d,14 d,and 21 d after foliar application,the nitrate nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen contents,along with activities of nitrate reductase(NR),glutamine synthetase(GS),glutamate dehydrogenase(GDH),and glutamate synthase(GOGAT)in leaves at seedling stage were analyzed.[Result]Different Na2SiO3 concentrations showed varying effects on seedling growth.The foliar application of 30 mmol/L Na2SiO3 treatment achieved maximum values in plant height,stem diameter,dry matter accumulation(roots/stems/leaves),seedling vigor index,root activity,chlorophyll content,net photosynthetic rate,and intercellular CO2 concentration.These parameters declined when concentration increased to 40 mmol/L.The foliar application of 20 mmol/L Na2SiO3 treatment effectively reduced transpiration rate to 9.63 mmol/(m2·s),while 30 mmol/L treatment minimized stomatal conductance to 400 mmol/(m2·s).Under the same concentration,NR,GS,GDH and GOGAT activities and nitrate nitrogen and ammonium nitrogen contents progressively increased with prolonged application duration.At the same day after foliar application,the 30 mmol/L treatment achieved peak values in these biochemical indicators,which decreased at higher concentrations.[Conclusion]Foliar application of appropriate Na2SiO3 concentration(30 mmol/L)effectively promotes the growth and development of muskmelon seedlings.关键词
