摘要

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the expression of the pyroptosis execution protein GSDMD in glioma and its correlation with patient prognosis.Methods:This study analyzed glioma and normal brain tissue samples from the TCGA and CGGA databas-es using bioinformatics methods to statistically evaluate differences in Gasdermin gene expression.Immunohistochemistry was used to verify the expression levels of GSDMD protein in clinical glioma samples.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and multivariate Cox regression models were employed to assess the relationship between GSDMD expression and patient prognosis.Results:GS-DMD expression in glioma tissues was significantly higher than in normal brain tissues.Survival analysis indicated that the overall survival time of the high GSDMD expression group was significantly shorter than that of the low expression group.Additionally,high GSDMD expression was associated with higher-grade gliomas and higher Ki-67 labeling index.Conclusion:The study results suggest that GSDMD expression levels are closely related to the prognosis of glioma patients,and GSDMD can serve as an inde-pendent indicator of poor prognosis.Detection of GSDMD may aid in the prognosis assessment and individualized treatment strate-gy development for glioma patients.
