Abstract

To prevent excessive deformation of both the structure itself and the surrounding environment caused by construction,taking the Waitan Bridge Station of Ningbo Metro Line 7 as an example,the comprehensive high metro jet system(MJS)was employed to reinforce the soil on the west side of the existing Line 2 station.Monitoring points were established at critical locations along pipelines to collect deformation data,thereby facilitating an exploration of deformation patterns and evolution laws under reinforcement conditions based on measured data.The results indicate that the MJS method effectively controls settlement deformation in peripheral pipelines.Overall,pipeline settlement increases with the progress of construction,with the maximum settlement and uplift observed at rainwater and sewage pipelines.During the foundation pit excavation,the maximum recorded settlement of the peripheral pipelines reaches 12.02 mm,while maximum uplift is noted at 7.34 mm.After reinforcement,pipeline settlement on the east side of the foundation pit measures 9.68 mm,which is less than deformations experienced in other directions of the unreinforced foundation pit,and well below the monitoring control threshold of±30 mm.The application of MJS for precise lateral soil reinforcement adjacent to existing stations markedly enhances the safety during foundation pit excavations in complex and sensitive environments.This approach provides valuable technical reference and practical examples for deep foundation pit projects of adjacent important buildings.
