Abstract
At present,the research on determining the ecological flow and ecological water level of urban rivers is still in the exploratory stage.This study analyzes the characteristics and functional demands of urban rivers to determine the calculation methods for the ecological water level and ecological flow of urban rivers that can satisfy the multiple functional requirements including river connectivity,biological habitat,and urban landscape,etc..Taking the South,West and East Moats in the ancient urban area of Kaifeng City as examples,the ecological water levels of the South,West and East moats are calculated to be 70.13 m,71.70 m,and 70.75 m respectively.The ecological flow of the South moat is 7.6 m3/s,that of the West moat is 4.26 m3/s and that of the East is 4.46 m3/s.The evaluations is conducted using the Tennant method.The South and West Moats are rated as"moderate"to"good",while the East Moat is rated as"good"to"very good".The calculation results are reasonable and reliable.关键词
