Influence of Ying Wei Theory on Pulse Diagnosis Method Based on Shang Han Za Bing Lun

Abstract
The establishment of Ying Wei circulation system has built the theoretical cornerstone of pulse diagnosis method.Zhang Zhongjing inherited this theory and expounded the relationship between Ying Wei and Three Jiao,which had not been discussed before.Zhang Zhongjing believed that the generation of Ying Wei originates from the Middle Jiao.The Wei comes out of the upper Jiao like the leaf,and the Ying hides in the Lower Jiao like the root.The root and leaf are connected and the two go hand in hand and flow around the whole body.Three Jiao is also the passage of the Ying Wei and it also depends on the warmth and nourishment of the Ying Wei.Based on this,through the correspondence between the Cunkou pulse and the Three Jiao as well as the meaning in syndrome of the Fuyang pulse on Stomach Qi,the Ying Wei theory further influenced the theory and practice of pulse diagnosis method.By diagnosing the Ying Wei by the pulse,the doctor's judgment of the Ying Wei conditions can be traced.For example,in the Cunkou pulse method,the Qi of the Ying Wei is divided at the Chi and Cun area,and the strength of the Stomach Qi is used to judge the prosperity and decline of the Qi of Ying Wei with Fuyang pulse method.关键词
