Abstract

To improve the reliability of fiber-reinforced composite pipes in high-temperature oil and gas gathering and transportation conditions,fiber-reinforced cross-linked polyethylene(PEX)composite pipes were prepared,and compatibility tests were conducted to simulate oil field medium transportation conditions.High temperature water pressure corrosion tests and 1 000 hour survival tests were also conducted to evaluate the high-temperature performance and service life of PEX composite pipes.The results showed that after the medium compatibility test,the maximum weight gain of the PEX liner layer was 4.89%,the tensile strength decreased by 13.6%,the elongation at break decreased by 5.4%,and the tensile modulus decreased by 14.3%.The prepared composite pipe liner layer has good chemical resistance and medium compatibility in H2S containing conditions in oil fields.As the temperature increases,the high-temperature burst strength of aramid fiber-reinforced PEX composite pipes decreases.With the increase of fiber bundles in the reinforcement layer,the degree of attenuation decreases,and the burst strength at 90℃decreases by 28.5%compared to room temperature.The aramid fiber-reinforced PEX composite pipe has successfully passed the long-term life test verification,and can operate stably under the working conditions of temperature 90℃and pressure≤12 MPa,fully meeting the requirements for use in this environment.
