Abstract

With the gradual depletion of high-grade phosphate rock resources,the development and utilization of low-grade phosphate rock has become a trend.The main impurities in medium and low-grade phosphate rock include quartz,clay,calcite,dolomite,and a small amount of organic components.During the formation of phosphate rock,magnesium plays an important role in the enrichment of phosphorus.This paper took a certain silicon calcium phos-phate mine in Hubei Province as the research object,and used X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy(XRF)and X-ray dif-fraction(XRD)to analyze the chemical and mineral composition of the raw ore.Effect of grinding fineness,collector,inhibitor and their dosage on the magnesium removal efficiency via reverse flotation is investigated.The results show that the phosphate rock is predominantly composed of fluorapatite,dolomite,and quartz.The P2O5 grade in the raw ore is 21.570%,the SiO2 mass fraction is 19.520%,and the MgO mass fraction is 5.310%;The ore is ground to the fineness of-0.075 mm,accounting for 68%.KM-6 is used as the de magnesio collector for coarse and fine selection,and sulfur-phosphorus mixed acid is used as the de magnesio inhibitor.Under the condition of phosphoric acid as the inhibitor for sweep selection,the closed-loop flotation process of"1 rough selection,1 fine seletion,1 sweep selection"is used to obtain phosphate concentrate products with the P2O5 grade of 28.57%and the recovery rate of 90.37%.The MgO mass fraction is reduced to 0.81%,and the MgO removal rate is 84.75%.The research results can provide reference for the efficient utilization of medium and low-grade phosphate rock of the same type.
