Abstract

In order to improve the low-temperature tolerance of tomatoes,the L-402 tomato seedlings were used as the material,then different DCPTA concentration(10,30,50 mg·L-1)were sprayed to the leaves of tomato seedlings,and the water was used as control,then they were treated with low-temperature stress(10 ℃/5 ℃,day/night),and the physiological indexes were measured at the fifth day to study the effect of DCPTA on physiological response of tomato seedling leaves and roots.The results showed that spraying DCPTA significantly decreased the relative conductivity and malondialdehyde(MDA)content of tomato seedling leaves under low-temperature stress.Spraying 10 and 30 mg·L-1 DCPTA significantly increased the chlorophyll content of tomato leaves under low-temperature stress.30 mg·L-1 DCPTA treatment significantly increased the soluble protein content of tomato leaves.30 and 50 mg·L-1 DCPTA treatment significantly increased root activity of tomato seedlings under low-temperature stress;While there was no significant influence on root length,surface area,volume and average diameter of tomato seedlings root.Therefore,we conclude that DCPTA could alleviate the damage of tomato seedlings under chilling stress,and the suitable concentration of DCPTA was 30 mg·L-1.This work could providetheoretical basis for the application of DCPTA on tomato cultivation.
