Abstract

Jinzhounan Oilfield is the first metamorphic buried hill oilfield put into development in the Bohai Sea.After more than a decade of development,oil wells show a high decline rate and complex water break-through patterns.Clarifying the fault development model of reservoirs and refining reservoir types is of great significance for stabilizing oil production and controlling water cut in the middle and late stages of buried hill oilfield development.Based on the analysis of structural evolution and combined with data from cores,thin sections,imaging logging,and production dynamics,a study on the fault development model and reservoir classification of the Jinzhounan Oilfield reservoir was carried out.The results show that the main storage spaces are structural fractures,intergranular pores,and dissolution pores.The reservoir is vertically divided into the upper half of the semi weathered crust,the lower half of the semi weathered crust,and the inner bedrock section,among which the lower half of the semi weathered crust is the main productivity section.Controlled by the stress fields of the Indosinian-Yanshanian period,early Xishan period,and late Xishan period,two types of fault modes have developed:the East High Belt tectonic compression and the west high belt uplift.These can be further subdivided into three types of reservoir modes:anticline type,semi anti-cline type,and uplift type.The core and wing fractures of the anticline type reservoir have poor connectivity and the best development effect.The connectivity of local fractures in the core and wing parts of a semi anti-cline reservoir has improved,and water injection is prioritized towards the fault direction,followed by the development effect.The tilted and uplifted reservoir fractures directly connect the high and low parts of the slope,and the injection production well group has a short water free oil recovery period and the worst devel-opment effect.The research results provide geological basis for the formulation of unstable water injection strategies for buried hills.
