On the Theory of Spirit Manifestation in the Visceral Manifestation Theory of Huangdi's Internal Classic

Abstract
The theory of spirit manifestation within the visceral manifestation theory of Huangdi's Internal Classic centers on the concept of"harmony between physique and spirit",systematically elucidating the philosophical connotations and clinical significance of"spirit"as the overarching principle of life activities.Grounded in five zang organs storing spirit,the theory of spirit manifestation proposes"weight-measurement regulations"as a regulatory model for yin-yang balance.This framework constructs a multidimensional regulatory system where the brain serves as the core,coordinating functions of the zang-fu organs and extraordinary fu organs.The self-harmoniza-tion of yin-yang achieves homeostasis through mutual generation-restraint among organs.The harmonious circulation of qi and blood sus-tains spirit's dynamism via the cyclical flow of channel qi in the three yin and three yang meridians.This system not only explains the dynamic equilibrium between internal and external body environments,but also reveals the intricate yin-yang connection between viscer-al functions and mental activities.Spirit manifestation serves both as an external indicator of visceral qi-blood prosperity or decline and a critical sign for disease diagnosis and prognosis.Assessments of constitution,emotional states,and pathological conditions can be pre-cisely conducted through external observations such as mental expression and facial complexion.When the feedback of"weight-meas-urement regulations"functions soundly,the essence qi of the five zang organs distributes orderly,externally manifesting as a"equilibri-um manifestation of the five spirits".Conversely,disruption of this self-stabilizing mechanism may fracture the"spirit-essence-qi"trans-mission chain,ultimately leading to spirit disorder.As a core concept that runs through the entire process,"equilibrium"not only em-bodies the essence of medical theory,but also represents the ultimate goal of health cultivation,and serves as a key clinical indicator and therapeutic objective.关键词
