Abstract

Aiming at the current problems of poor mixing efficiency and blurred safety boundaries of energetic powders,the motion and load changes of HMX/Al energetic powders during paddle free mixing were simulated.The influence of process pa-rameters such as roller inclination angle and rotation speed on the uniformity of energetic powder mixing and process safety was analyzed,which provides the reference for the efficient and safe mixing technologies of energetic materials in the future.The results indicate that during the rotation and mixing process of the roller,the uniform distribution of each component is mainly a-chieved through a cyclic process of"scattering falling dispersion"under the action of the roller plate structure.At the same time,increasing the radial height and circumferential quantity of the plate can effectively improve the scattering height and fre-quency of the powder.Also,reducing the radial inclination angle of the roller also helps to obtain a larger velocity difference to enhance the relative motion between HMX and Al particles,thereby improving the mixing efficiency and quality of the pow-der particles.In addition,by adjusting the radial inclination angle and axial speed of the roller,the maximum external load of HMX and Al particles can be controlled within the range of 3-15 N,which more likely leads to higher mixing efficiency and quality while improving process safety.
