Professor Xiao Heyin's Approach to Treating Recurrent Allergic Rhinitis in Children from Perspectives of Wind,Stasis,and Deficiency

Abstract
Allergic rhinitis is a common pediatric condition with steadily increasing prevalence.The disease is characterized by a prolonged course and recurrent episodes,significantly affecting the quality of life and growth of affected children.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment for pediatric allergic rhinitis offers advantages in improving physical constitution,reducing recurrence,and minimizing side effects.Professor Xiao Heyin,based on the clinical characteristics of the recurrent phase of the disease,identified wind invasion of the lung,Qi stagnation and blood stasis,and lung-spleen Qi deficiency as the key pathogenic factors.He adopted a treatment approach focusing on wind,stasis,and deficiency,with the main therapeutic principles of dispelling wind to open the orifices,promoting blood circulation to unblock the collaterals,strengthening the spleen,and calming the lung.By applying a self-formulated prescription,Qufeng Ningfei Powder combined with a modified Cang'erzi Powder,he achieved favorable clinical outcomes,providing valuable insights for clinical practice.关键词
