Treating Triple-negative Breast Cancer from the Perspective of"Cancer Toxin Flourishing and Cancer Nest Generating Wind"

Abstract
Based on Zhu Danxi's theory of"cancer nidus"and the characteristics of malignant tumors,this paper explores the concept and connotation of cancer nidus,which is characterized mainly by cancer toxin and phlegm-stasis amassment,integrating the features of cancer(covert onset,continuous proliferation and differentiation,and propensity for invasion and metastasis),toxin(severe pathogenicity,leading to significant systemic dysfunction and even life-threatening conditions),and nidus(phlegm and stasis intermingling and amassing,resulting in a protracted and difficult-to-treat condition).Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC),the most aggressive subtype of breast cancer,shows stronger cancer cell invasiveness,faster disease progression,and greater difficulty in control,reflecting the feature of"exuberant cancer toxin"."Generating wind"means the continuous cancer cell proliferation and transformation at the micro-level,as well as the dynamic process and trend of cancer cell invasion and metastasis at the macro-level.The cancer nidus,composed of cancer cells and their surrounding environment,provides the basis for cancer cell invasion and metastasis.TNBC's tendency for invasion,recurrence,and metastasis is like the nature of wind pathogen in traditional Chinese medicine,which moves rapidly and unpredictably.The theory of"cancer toxin being exuberant in nature,and the cancer nidus likely generating wind"summarizes the pathogenic characteristics and disease evolution of triple-negative breast cancer.关键词
