摘要

Abstract

[Objective]To promote the application and popularization of digital intelligent control technologies in wastewater treatment plants(WWTPs),this paper reviews the current application status of various digital intelligent control technologies in WWTPs and explores future innovation trends.The goal is to provide scientific basis for the construction and optimization of future smart WWTPs,thus driving the wastewater treatment industry toward more intelligent,automated,and refined development.[Methods]A comprehensive approach combining systematic literature review,engineering case analysis,and quantitative evaluation of intelligent control effectiveness is adopted.The research progress and application status of digital intelligent control technologies,including the internet of things(IoT),big data,and cloud computing,in domestic and international WWTPs are reviewed.In-depth discussions are made on the engineering practices of several typical WWTPs.Additionally,energy consumption assessments and operational data analyses are used to quantify the role of intelligent control systems in improving treatment efficiency,reducing energy consumption,and lowering operational costs.[Results]Through the organic integration of data acquisition and monitoring systems(SCADA),distributed control systems(DCS),model predictive control(MPC),and artificial intelligence(AI)optimization platforms,the intelligent aeration distribution system in WWTPs can reduce energy consumption by 15%to 20%,the intelligent control system can lower labor operation costs by more than 60%,and the intelligent polymer dosing system can save 20%to 40%in chemical reagent consumption.These systems also effectively mitigate water quality fluctuations and ensure that effluent quality remains stable and meets standards over the long term.[Conclusion]Digital intelligent control technology has become a key pathway for enhancing the operational efficiency,reducing energy consumption,optimizing effluent quality,and lowering operational costs in WWTPs.In the future,with continued advancements in intelligent algorithms,adaptive control,and deep learning technologies,the level of intelligence in WWTPs will be further improved.It is recommended to strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration,improve technical standards,and promote the large-scale application of intelligent wastewater treatment systems to accelerate the establishment of smart city ecosystems.
