Summary of evidence early rehabilitation of sepsis patients in intensive care unit

Abstract
Objective:To search,evaluate,and summarize the evidence of early rehabilitation in septic patients in the intensive care unit(ICU).Methods:A systematic search was conducted for evidence on early rehabilitation in ICU septic patients across the following databases,UpToDate,BMJ Best Practice,the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI)Evidence-Based Healthcare Centre Database(Australia),the Cochrane Library,National Institute for Health and Care Excellence(NICE),Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network(SIGN),Guideline International Network(GIN),National Guideline Clearinghouse(NGC),American College of Physicians Club(ACP Club),Agency for Clinical Innovation(ACI),Registered Nurses'Association of Ontario(RNAO),New Zealand Guidelines Group(NZGG),American Physical Therapy Association(APTA),World Federation for Neuro Rehabilitation(WFNR),the Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine(CARM),the Chinese Medical Guideline Network,PubMed,Web of Science,Embase,CINAHL,the Chinese Biomedical Literature Service System(SinoMed),China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang Database,and VIP Database.Evidence types included clinical decisions,guidelines,expert consensuses,systematic reviews,evidence summaries,and randomized controlled trials(RCTs).The search period was from December 1,2014,to December 15,2024.Two researchers independently performed literature quality assessment and data extraction.Results:A total of 13 articles were finally included,comprising 2 expert consensuses,4 guidelines,1 systematic review,and 6 RCTs.Twenty-one best evidence items were summarized and extracted,categorized into five areas,pre-rehabilitation preparation,pre-rehabilitation safety assessment,rehabilitation methods,rehabilitation process monitoring,and rehabilitation outcome evaluation.Conclusion:The best evidence on early rehabilitation in ICU septic patients summarized in this study is scientific and comprehensive.It provides an evidence-based foundation for healthcare professionals to standardize early rehabilitation training for ICU septic patients.关键词
