Abstract

When the ball valve is working,it is often caused by the leakage problem of the ball valve because the seal between the valve seat and the valve ball is not tight.Disc springs are widely designed and used in various mechanical equipment,and the monolithic disc springs are not large in size and provide elastic force in the main seal of the ball valve.However,due to improper design and selection of the disc spring,the preload is insufficient or the disc spring is plastically deformed due to the action of receiving a large load,which in turn leads to the leakage problem of the ball valve.For different ball valve sizes,the results may be better when the disc spring size is optimized.In order to better analyze and solve this problem,the impact of the thickness and size parameters of the disc spring on the elastic properties of the disc spring is studied by combining theoretical calculation and numerical simulation,and the disc spring with a thickness of 1.5,1.6,1.7,1.8,1.9,2 mm is simulated in the Workbench software,and the thickness of 1.6 mm is the most suitable,so that the seal between the ball and the valve seat is more reliable.
