摘要

Abstract

Sodium-ion batteries are considered one of the most promising candidates for affordable and scalable energy storage as required in smart grid and renewable energy.However,designing electrode materials with long life and high capacity remains a significant obstacle because of the substantial mass and large radius of Na-ions.Tin selenide(SnSe)has a high theoretical specific capacity as an anode material for sodium ion batteries and is considered one of the most promising electrochemical energy storage electrode materials,however,the volume expansion of SnSe during cycling leads to its very unstable electrochemical performance.Therefore,it is necessary to understand and comprehensively modify SnSe to improve its performance.The characteristics of SnSe,the synthesis methods of various nanocomposites and their applications in sodium ion batteries are discussed.The objective of the review is to emphasize the strategies to overcome the poor cycle life of SnSe electrodes,such as improving its structure,composite with carbon,and constructing heterojunction to enhance its sodium storage capacity.
