Abstract

In recent years,the construction scale of urban building complex has been continuously increasing,accommodating large population,resources,and urban functions.However,the risk of facing strong disasters has also increased accordingly.Existing seismic input models fail to account for attenuation characteristics of earthquake motions,limiting the applicability in evaluating the seismic performance of urban building complex.The risk of building complex under secondary disasters such as earthquake-induced explosions is also difficult to assess.Therefore,this study proposed a regional empirical seismic motion generation model that considered attenuation to generate independent seismic motions for each building structure in the building complex.This model consists of five parts:selection of seismic ground motions,seismic ground motion decomposition,frequency attenuation,peak ground acceleration attenuation,and propagation effects.A building complex model was constructed using six buildings within Tongji University.The seismic performance of the six buildings was investigated using the incremental dynamic analysis method,and the overall seismic performance of the building complex was evaluated based on the proposed index.The results indicate that while the seismic performance of the building remains unchanged,the risk of seismic damage is reduced with the increase of building group size and distance from the seismic source.Based on the seismic performance analysis results,the risk of secondary explosion disasters caused by earthquakes in the building complex was evaluated.The results indicate that the maximum inter-story displacement governs the risk of gas leakage in the main pipeline.The maximum floor acceleration determines the risk of the secondary line.
