Emergency resilience assessment of urban road network considering impact of building debris after earthquakes

Abstract
The reliability of road network under extreme events such as earthquakes is crucial for urban resilience and sustainable development.Post-earthquake debris from collapsed roadside buildings encroaching onto the roadway is a major factor hindering urban emergency rescue.However,the current research on the mechanism of road obstruction caused by building debris is still insufficient,and there is a lack of emergency resilience assessment method for road network considering the impact of debris after earthquakes.To address this problem,a probabilistic analysis model of post-earthquake road congestion was established,which takes seismic events,building vulnerability,collapsed debris range and road design conditions into account.A Bayesian network-based method for estimating the failure probability of road sections in emergency was proposed.Then the emergency resilience assessment method and indicator of urban road network considering both network topology and road section failure risk were developed.The critical parameters and mechanisms affecting the emergency failure probability of road section and the emergency resilience of road network were revealed through the case study of a real road network.The proposed resilience assessment model enables a multidimensional evaluation of the impact of building debris and provide a reliable scientific basis for risk mitigation and emergency management of urban road networks.关键词
