Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect of calcium channel blockers(CCBs)on gingival growth in hyperten-sive patients after implantation surgery.Methods:Eighty-three patients with hypertension and implant treatment in our hospi-tal from April 2020 to November 2023,with an average age of(54.5±7.1)years,were selected and divided into the experi-mental group and the control group according whether they used CCBs.The incidence of postoperative gingival hyperplasia,the classification of gingival hyperplasia,probing depth(PD),clinical attachment level(CAL),gingival index(GI),and plaque index(PI)were observed in the two groups.And the influence of the administration time,different types,and adminis-tration ways of CCBs on gingival hyperplasia was analyzed.Results:All patients were followed up for at least 12 months.The incidence of gingival hyperplasia in the experimental group at 12 months postoperatively was 51.61%,which was significantly higher than the control group(15.38%).The classification of gival hyperplasia in the experimental group was as follows:grade 0 in 15 cases,grade 1 in 4 cases,grade 2 in 8 cases,and grade 3 in 4 cases.The classification of gingival hyperplasia in the control group was as follows:grade 0 in 44 cases,grade 1 in 5 cases,grade 2 in 3 cases.The incidence and grading of gin-gival hyperplasia were statistically significant in the two groups(all P<0.05).PD,GI,and PI of the experimental group were significantly higher than the control group at 12 months after the operation(all P<0.01),while CAL showed no statistical difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There was a positive correlation between the time of CCBs administration and the incidence of gingival hyperplasia in the experimental group(r=0.953,P<0.05).The incidence of gingival hyperplasia in patients with an administration time>12 months was 72.2%,which was significantly higher than the patients with an admin-istration time≤12 months,which was 23.1%(χ2=7.3,P=0.007).The incidence of gingival hyperplasia in the dihydropyr-idine group of CCBs 54.6%,and that in the non-dihydropyridine group was 44.4%,and there was no statistically significant between the two groups(χ2=0.261,P=0.609).The incidence of gingival hyperplasia in the group of CCBs alone was 20.0%,and the combined drug was 66.7%,with a statistically difference(χ2=5.907,P=0.015).Conclusion:CCBs are re-lated to postoperative gingival hyperplasia in patients with hypertension.The use of CCBs for>12 months and combined drug use will increase the incidence of drug-induced gingival hyperplasia.关键词
