Differences in Ultrasonic Signs and Shear Wave Elastography Parameters among Different Molecular Subtypes of Breast Cancer and Their Value in Evaluating the Resectability of Lesions

Abstract
Objective To explore the differences in ultrasonic signs and shear wave elastography(SWE)parameters among different molecular subtypes of breast cancer and their value in evaluating the resectability of lesions.Methods A total of 80 patients with breast cancer from January 2021 to January 2024 were selected and underwent ultrasound and SWE examination before operation.The ultrasound signs and SWE parameters[mean elastic modulus(Emean),minimum elastic modulus(Emin),and maximum elastic modulus(Emax)]of breast cancer with different molecular subtypes were compared.According to the resectability of the lesion,patients were divided into resectable and non-resectable groups.The ultrasound signs and SWE parameters of the two groups were compared,and their evaluation value for the resectability of breast cancer lesions was analyzed.Results There are differences in the intratumoral blood flow and lymph node metastasis among patients with different molecular subtypes of breast cancer(P<0.01).Emin,Emean,and Emax were the highest in human epidermal growth factor recep-tor 2+patients,followed by triple negative and Luminal B types patients and Luminal A type patients(P<0.05).There were dif-ferences in the intratumoral blood flow and lymph node metastasis between resectable and non-resectable groups(P<0.05);Emin,Emean,and Emax values in the non-resectable group were higher than those in the resectable group(P<0.01).The area under the curve for the combined assessment of intratumoral blood flow,lymph node metastasis,Emin,Emean,and Emax in evaluating the resectability of breast cancer lesions was 0.922,with a sensitivity of 92.86%and a specificity of 84.62%,which was significantly better than the individual assessments of each sign and parameter(P<0.05).Conclusion There are significant differences in intratumoral blood flow within tumors,lymph node metastasis,and SWE parameters among patients with different molecular sub-types of breast cancer.The above indicators have high value in assessing the resectability of breast cancer lesions.关键词
