Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between disorganized retinal inner layer(DRIL)and visual prognosis of branch retinal vein occlusion(BRVO)after injection of anti-vascular epithelial growth factor(ant-VEGF).Methods A retrospective case-control study.a total of 66 patients with BRVO who were admitted to the First Hospital of AUST from March 2023 to June 2024 were selected,and divided into three groups based on the distance to the macular fo-vea:group 1(<50 μm),group 2(50~200 μm),and group 3(>200 μm).All BRVO patients received treatment with Conbercept injection.The best corrected visual acuity(BCVA),DRIL situation and macular foveal retinal thickness(CRT)were evaluated at the patient's initial visit and after the injection.The impact of different types of DRIL on the prog-nosis of BRVO was analyzed.Results According to the optical coherence tomography(OCT)evaluation results,among the 66 patients with BRVO,29 cases(43.94%)had a macular foveal distance of less than 50 μm,21 cases(31.82%)had a distance of 50~200 μm,and 16 cases(24.24%)had a distance greater than 200 μm.Comparing the course of BRVO among three groups,there was a significant difference between the first group and the second group(P<0.05).The pro-portion of hypertension in the three groups was compared,with significant differences(P<0.05).After each injection,the changes in BCVA and CRT were analysed.As compared with before the injection,the difference was statistically sig-nificant among the three groups,with category one>category two>category three(P>0.05).There was a significant dif-ference in BCVA between the first visit and the second visit(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in CRT between the first visit and the second visit(P>0.05).According to correlation analysis,there was a negative correlation between the changes in BCVA and CRT after injection of DRIL and BRVO patients in different parts(P<0.05).Through multiple linear stepwise regression analysis,it was shown that after excluding the interference of BRVO disease course and hyper-tension,the differences in DRIL site were still the influencing factors of BCVA and CRT changes in BRVO patients after the third injection(P<0.05).Conclusions There is a close relationship between the changes in BCVA and CRT after in-jection of different types of DRIL and BRVO patients.The smaller the distance between DRIL and the macular fovea,the higher the initial macular edema and visual impairment in BRVO patients.However,the more significant the increase in BCVA and decrease in CRT after injection treatment,the better the prognosis.DRIL is a reliable biomarker in BRVO.关键词
