Comparative Trial of New Chili Pepper Varieties in Jishui County
摘要
Abstract
To screen out quality-oriented pepper varieties suitable for large-scale cultivation in Ji'an,Jiangxi Province,field trials combined with laboratory bioassays were conducted to comprehensively evaluate the agronomic traits,quality indicators,disease resistance,and stress tolerance of six pepper varieties.The results showed that Xingsu Zhoula 3 and Xingsu 211 had a moderate growth period,excellent plant architecture and fruit characteristics.Compared with the control variety Chunla No.19,their early yields increased by 48.6%and 46.3%respectively.Meanwhile,they had better quality performance in terms of vitamin C,soluble protein,soluble sugar and capsaicin contents,as well as stronger disease resistance.Therefore,they can be widely promoted and planted in facility greenhouses for autumn extension or early spring cultivation in Ji'an area.关键词
